Buildingchange.org is dedicated to being a catalyst for change by giving a hand up, not a hand out. We identify people and organizations around the world who are already “in the trenches” changing their communities for the better. Whether we are helping build a school, home, or latrine, digging a well, starting small businesses, setting up a primary care health or eye glass clinic, or securing educational supplies, we know that change comes when there is hope. Building buildings, opportunities, health and education all combine to build hope in a hopeless world. We are presently supplying leadership and resources in Sierra Leone, Togo, India, Haiti, and Peru by working with the indigenous civil and spiritual leaders in their own communities. We already have a network of people and organizations that are faithfully doing the work that brings change to their communities. We believe, if enough people could give their “change”—about a dollar a day or $30 a month—we could multiply and expand our efforts around the world.
